Aims and benefits

  • Subgoal 1: The use of addictive substances by refugees in Germany will be surveyed on a large scale also vulnerable groups with special needs identified. There is hardly any data available in Germany yet.
  • Subgoal 2: Strategies of "good practice" of care institutions with regard to migrants and other marginalized groups have in the past been described for the European area. However, the extent to which these can actually be transferred to addiction care in Germany and to refugees in particular is unknown. Subproject 1 will therefore identify principles and strategies of "good practice" in German addiction care.
  • Subgoal 3: In the final step, the status of implementation of the surveyed "good practice" strategies in addiction care facilities in Germany will be assessed.

All results will be made public and disseminated in order to promote and support implementation
