BePrepared – The app for young refugees about alcohol, cannabis and how to handle both safely.
Free of charge, anonymous, scientific. The BePrepared Study is aimed at people who fled from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran or Iraq and came to Germany; young adults who have ever drunk alcohol or consumed cannabis. The BePrepared App helps them keep track of their own consumption and provides valuable tips on how to deal with substances safely. The app is available in multiple languages so that anyone can use it without help, anywhere and at any time (Arabic, English, Farsi, German, Pashto).
The BePrepared app is currently only available for smartphones with Android operating system.

local assistance? The app informs you about counseling centers near you – in many languages!
By using this app you participate in a social study. After using the app for four weeks, three months and six months respectively you are going to be asked some questions on your smartphone. You then have the opportunity to win online vouchers worth 10 to 15 Euros!
While using the app your data is protected according to the latest standards. Any information or details revealed by yourself within this app will not be disclosed to any third parties. The entire BePrepared Study takes place on your smartphone, meaning you will remain anonymous the entire time and you will not meet the scientists in person.

The entire BePrepared Study takes place on your smartphone, meaning you will remain anonymous the entire time and you will not meet the scientists in person. In order to further improve the app and test its effectiveness, every user is asked questions. That means for you:
After 4 weeks, 3 months and 6 months you will again answer a couple of questions. After each survey you have the chance to win a voucher worth 10 – 15 €!
